Enable Remote Diagnostics & Data Sharing
After selecting your local expert, you will be guided to the Data Processing screen. This allows your professional to view your system’s "vital signs" without needing an immediate home visit.
Grant Access: On the Data Processing screen, scroll to the Permissions section.
Enable System Status: Switch the toggle for View System Status Information to On.
Confirm Changes: Once you have set your preferences, tap the Complete button at the bottom of the screen to save your settings.
Proactive Care: With InteliSense™ technology, your equipment flags internal conditions early. This allows your expert to evaluate the system remotely and, if a visit is needed, potentially arrive with the right parts for a one-trip fix.
Note: These alerts are proactive markers for maintenance and system health, not necessarily an immediate emergency. They are designed to prevent downtime by flagging physical faults before they impact your comfort.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I share my data?
Sharing data helps ensure faster support and accurate service. Because your system is communicating directly with your trusted professional, they can see exactly what the hardware is reporting, distinguishing physical equipment needs from simple software updates.
I don’t see my local expert. What should I do?
Try selecting Expand search area after entering your ZIP code. If your expert still isn’t listed, confirm the ZIP code or reach out to them directly to ensure they are appearing in the brand-certified portal.
Can I change my expert later?
Yes. You can change your connected professional at any time by following the same steps and selecting a different office.
Does sharing data affect how my system runs?
No. Data sharing does not change the operation or efficiency of your HVAC equipment. It only enables better support and remote assistance.
My expert mentioned they can’t access my system details. What should I do?
First, verify your permissions by visiting the Data Processing screen in your app. Ensure that the toggle for View System Status Information is switched to On. This is the digital "key" that allows your data to be shared securely.
If your permissions are already active, your trusted professional may simply need to refresh their expert service view. You can politely suggest they check their professional diagnostic tools to access your system’s full performance history. By using these specialized resources, your expert can analyze the equipment’s "vital signs" remotely, which helps ensure that if a visit is eventually required, they arrive prepared for a one-trip fix.
